Mission Statement 

Outburst UK is the official host of the Outburst UK Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Festival in London, England.

The Outburst UK Pride Festival is a celebration of the achievements of the Black, Minority & Ethnic community in the United Kingdom. It is an inclusive event regardless of race, nationality, age, gender or orientation. We promote equality and diversity, and advances education to eliminate discrimination against the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Queer (LGBTQ) community. We raise awareness of these issues by facilitating and promoting a series of events throughout the year and work closely with the wider community in fostering good relations.

Outburst UK is a national charitable organization giving a platform, voice and supportive environment to the black LGBT community in the UK.

We are a grassroots organisation dedicated to efforts that nurture pride and unity within the black LGBT community in the UK, and to provide a happy, safe and supportive environment.

We aim to build a strong community through communication, transparency, accountability, positive visibility, and educational opportunities while facilitating and fostering relationships within the wider community.


Additionally, the Board of Directors believe that the black LGBT community need an annual forum where individually and collectively we can consider where we have been, where we are now and what direction we need to set.

Our Purpose

1. To educate, support, nurture and develop the black LGBT community.
2. To empower and give vision to the black LGBT community.
3. To work with the wider community to develop a sustainable, safe haven for black LGBT people.
4. Provide a place for BME gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning, people and others to meet, gain information, and socialise.
