Visiting The UK? PDF  | Print |  E-mail
Awash with rainbow pride, Britain is a nation of excitement, history, talent and understanding. Hell, we’ve even had a gay king (or perhaps we should have called him queen) way back in the 13th Century.

The United Kingdom has come a long way since the dark days when homosexuality was considered illegal. The dreaded laws of yesteryear have been banished thanks to the strength of the local gay and lesbian community, and the growth of acceptance amongst our straight supporters.

Modern day British gay society is now one of the most sophisticated, cosmopolitan and pulsating communities in the world – largely due to the successes and public figures of our past who valued the ‘home’ in homosexuality. visitbritain.com

Here, we have attempted to compile a list of resources for your use. We will try our best to keep this updated as much as possible.Weekly Papers
  • Attitude - Gay lifestyle magazine
  • Pink Paper - the UK's gay and lesbian newspaper published every two weeks.
  • QX Magazine - The number one magazine for club news and listings. (must get)

Monthly Magazines

  • MoC - Men of Colour Magazine
  • Gay Times - Lifestyle magazine for the gay and lesbian communities.

Community Websites:

  • UK Black Out - The leading virtual community and editorial website for people of African and African-Caribbean origin.
  • Black Gay Men's Advisory Group (BGMAG) - Formed in 2003, the Black Gay Men’s Advisory Group is an independent group of black gay and bisexual men of African and African-Caribbean parentage working for and on behalf of other black men who have sex with men.
